Check Whether Your Device Fulfills the Technical Requirements

Please use the technical documentation that was shipped with your mobile device as a start point for your search. If those documents do not contain the relevant information or you cannot find it within, we suggest to consult the data sheets of third parties (e.g. areamobile.de).

You should take into account the following technical information:

• Java support according to MIDP 2.0 or higher
• Support of the Java Specification Requests JSR-75
• Display width of at least 160 pixels

Only of these three requirements are fulfilled, the MobileSitter software may run on your mobile device.

Sample Investigation of the Requirements Using Areamobile.de

Unfortunately, the web portal Areamobile.de currently only provides a German language website. However, if you follow the marks in the screenshots below, you should be able to find the necessary information.

Please open the URL www.areamobile.de with your browser, enter the name of your mobile device in the search form on the top right-hand side and start the search. In the example below we search for "Sony Ericsson K800i".

Select the option to show the data sheet for your device by clicking on "Datenblatt anzeigen".

Click on "Hardware" and check whether the screen resolution under "Display-Auflösung" has a width of at least 160 pixels. In our example, the mobile device has a width of 240 pixels.

Click on "Features" and scroll down to the section "Java-fähig" in order to check the Java capabilities.

Check whether your device supports the Java standards MIDP 2.0 (or higher) and JSR-75. In our example both standards are supported.
